Unit completion rate requirement

If you’re in a Commonwealth supported place (CSP) or you’re using HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP, and you started a new course after 1 January 2022, you must pass at least 50% of your units to continue in a CSP and/or receive HECS-HELP or FEE-HELP.

This requirement is part of the Australian Government’s Job-ready Graduates Package.

What happens if I withdraw from a unit?

If you withdraw from a unit before census date there is no impact to you financially or academically. You will not be charged for any units withdrawn before census date, nor will they appear on your academic record.

If you withdraw from a unit after census date, you will be charged for the unit and it will count as a failed attempt in the low completion rate calculation.
