As UniReady is free, do low completion rates impact me?
Yes, even though UniReady is contribution exempt (free for students) and not an award course, your place in the course is government funded (CSP-Commonwealth supported place) so having a low completion rate will prevent you from being able to continue your studies in UniReady.
When is my completion rate calculated?
UniReady is a sub-bachelor course consisting of four units, so your completion rate will be calculated after only one semester of study if you are aiming to complete UniReady full-time. If you enrol part-time over two semesters (two units per semester) your completion rate is calculated at the end of your second semester of study.
This means if you are aiming to complete UniReady in one semester, it is vital that you successfully complete at least two units during your first semester to continue to study.
I am not sure that I will successfully complete my units. What do I do?
If you are not sure if you will be successful in your units, you must contact UniReady for advice as early as possible, ideally prior to the census date, as withdrawing from units before the census date does not count as an attempt (so will not be included in your total attempted units when calculating completion rates).
If you experience circumstances interrupting your studies after the census date, you must contact UniReady for support immediately, so that you can receive accurate advice regarding your studies and any risk of a low completion rate. Depending on your circumstances, UniReady can assist you to apply for special circumstances, so your units are not counted towards your completion rate.
What if I withdraw after the census date?
If you choose to Withdraw after the census date, this is considered a fail and will count towards the low completion rate. Contact UniReady for advice about what you can do.
I have a low completion rate for UniReady, but want to continue to study. What are my options?
Your options will depend on your circumstances. Please contact UniReady directly for advice.
