This option is only available to domestic students before the census date for the course offering. After census date you can apply for a leave of absence. International students are unable to defer due to a condition of their student visa.
Undergraduate students
When you defer your offer, you are requesting to start it at a later date. You must meet specific conditions to defer your offer. If you have already accepted your offer you can email the Admissions Office via defer@curtin.edu.au for assistance.
To defer your offer:
- Select View for the appropriate offer to display the details of your offer.
- Check the details are correct, you accept and have met the conditions of the offer. The conditions may include fee payments or admission requirements.
- Click Defer to display the deferral form.
- Select the year and study period you would prefer to begin your studies.
- Click Defer and a success message will confirm that you have successfully deferred your offer.
Postgraduate students
If you have been offered a postgraduate course and you would like to postpone the commencement of your studies, contact Curtin Connect for assistance.
